Die Herrschaften Bill und Tom Kaulitz, sowie Georg Listing und Gustav Schäfer stecken noch mitten in der Produktion, wie ein Brancheninsider dieser Seite verriet. Gegenüber klatsch-tratsch.de sagte er: “Die Veröffentlichung des Albums ist verschoben worden, es soll aber noch vor Weihnachten auf den Markt kommen. Wenn alles klappt, dann wirklich Ende November.” Ursprünglich gab es einen Veröffentlichungstermin im Spätsommer. Die erste Single werde, “wenn alles so wie geplant läuft”, um den 27. Oktober herum erscheinen, fügte der Insider hinzu. Das neue Album wurde in Los Angeles produziert, wie Bill Kaulitz der ‘Bild’-Zeitung im Mai verriet: “Wir nehmen hier gerade ein neues Album auf.” Das letzte Tokio-Hotel-Album ‘Humanoid’ erschien im Oktober 2009 und räumte weltweit ab. 2010 erschien ein ‘Best Of’.
